Ranveer Singh recently hit rock bottom at the box office but is still proving to be strong and determined as he ventures into movie production.
Prior to Simmba, Ranveer had massive success with movies like Padmaavat, Simmba, and Gully Boy. All these films exhibited his talent and versatility, therefore a Bollywood giant.
In spite of that, the COVID-19 pandemic also played a series of setbacks. Movies such as Cirkus, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and 83 flopped, and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani also flopped even when co-star Alia Bhatt received maximum limelight.
Currently, Ranveer looks down in spirits, but he’s back with an imperial comeback in his new film Dhurandhar.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, who had given the blockbuster Uri, Dhurandhar seems promising. Ranveer is acting as a RAW agent, and with a good cast and a humongous budget, everyone’s eyes are on him.
Apart from that, Ranveer is also venturing into production, having launched his own company in Mumbai. That way, he can choose scripts and work with writers and directors according to his creative vision.
In a turn of events, Ranveer has chosen to own his own movies and ensure that they are his best and representative of his capability and potential. That is a great choice, and it provides him with the liberty to produce new and diverse types of films.
With recent happenings as proof, Ranveer’s ability to come back from setbacks and refusal to give up speaks volumes about more successful times ahead for him. He will probably return and reassert himself in the world of cinema.
Let us wait and see.
