RGV Will Be Rejected on the Internet Too – Nihalani

Ram Gopal Varma said that he chose the Web series to tell the story of his film freely in his own way where you have no restrictions as you have in making a silver screen movie. Yes, Central Board Of Film Certification cannot interfere in the web series content, but RGV got his hit very badly from the Chairperson of CBFC for the content in Guns and Thighs trailer.

Pahlaj Nihalani called the trailer a “perverse imagination without control or restrain”. He reminded Varma that though he gets a lot of freedom on the internet to show any content, it brings him the same amount of responsibility for what he is showing and that there is something called self-censorship on the internet which most of the filmmakers know nothing about.

Nihalani slammed RGV that his films were rejected by the big screen audience and would happen the same to his web series. He supposed that Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has to pitch in and set certain laws for the content that is shown on the internet too. He said people like Varma use such platforms to fulfill their secret fantasies and this is nothing but a license for more filth and nudity.
