Saif Ali Khan’s attack incident is witnessing new developments every day in terms of its investigation. A report has now claimed that the police are currently investigating an accused named Mohammed Shehzad.
However, the test results revealed that the suspect’s fingerprints did not match the ones found at Saif’s house.
Meanwhile, additional samples have been sent for testing and the fingerprints have been sent to the CID for further analysis, which confirmed a mismatch, hinting that Shehzad might be linked in some manner.
In another development, Mumbai Police has taken a woman from Bengal into their custody, and a transit remand might be requested to transport her to Mumbai. The news comes almost a week after the police arrested a suspect named Shariful Islam and the woman is allegedly associated with the man.
The woman was identified as Khukhumoni Jahangir Sheikh and she was arrested after the cops searched the Nadia district of West Bengal on January 27, 2025. Notably, a Bangladeshi national named Shariful Fakir was also arrested in the case and the woman was reportedly acquainted with the individual.
Shariful had illegally entered India through the border near Siliguri. However, the woman continues to remain under investigation and the authorities are yet to reveal more details.
Considering that the incident happened with a celebrity, it seems like the case won’t conclude so easily in a brief period. There is a possibility that more people might be brought in for questioning, revealing more facts and making the case complicated.
