Shocking: Salman Fans Want Sikandar Below 100 Cr

Salman Khan’s Eid release, Sikandar, has left fans and trade experts stunned with its poor box office show. In spite of the festive time, the film collected a paltry ₹26 crore on day one and ₹29 crore on day two, taking the domestic tally to ₹55 crore—a long way from expectation.

Traditionally, Eid releases of Salman have been the drivers of blockbuster success, but Sikandar appears to be shattering this run in the opposite direction. Fans, who had taken Salman’s movies to ₹100 crore even in the face of poor reviews, seem to be shifting against him now.

Most are expressing their discontent at his complacency and consistent poor work. Salman had repeatedly taken pride in saying that his fan following guarantees his movies cross ₹100 crore irrespective of quality.

But this time, even ardent followers wish the movie flops—hoping it will act as a wake-up call for the star. The extreme contrast between Salman’s recent troubles and contemporaries such as Shah Rukh Khan (Pathaan), Ranbir Kapoor (Brahmastra), and Vicky Kaushal (Chhaava)—all delivering ₹500 crore hits—has only strengthened worries regarding his slide.

Fans think that if Sikandar doesn’t touch ₹100 crore, it may persuade Salman to reassess his plan and ensure quality rather than being complacent. Whether or not this is a turning point for the actor only time will tell.
