Salman with South Director: Sikandar Mistake Again?

Recent reports suggest that Salman Khan has signed a new action thriller with director Vamshi Paidipally, who previously directed Varisu. The project is expected to be a large scale commercial film and may begin production in April 2026.

According to reports, Salman Khan liked the script because of its strong commercial appeal. The film is said to combine intense action with emotional storytelling. Director Vamshi Paidipally reportedly plans to present the actor in a new look for the project.

The news has sparked mixed reactions among fans on social media. Some viewers believe a collaboration with filmmakers Raj & DK would have been a more interesting choice for the actor at this stage of his career.

A section of fans also feels that Salman Khan should consider different kinds of roles rather than traditional mass entertainers. They point to some of his recent films such as Sikandar and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan while discussing his recent career choices.

Director Vamshi Paidipally’s previous film Varisu received mixed reactions from audiences and critics. Even some fans of Thalapathy Vijay, who played the lead role, expressed disappointment with the film’s execution.

Earlier in his career, Vamshi Paidipally directed Yevadu, which received moderate attention. However, some viewers have compared its storyline with the Hollywood film Face/Off, leading to debates about originality in commercial cinema.

At the same time, many observers feel Salman Khan may benefit from exploring roles that match his current stage in life. They believe experimenting with new characters and stories could bring fresh energy to his career.

If the reports are accurate, the upcoming film may go on floors in April 2026. Further details about the cast, title and storyline are expected to be revealed by the makers in the coming months.
