Shah Rukh Khan’s King is arriving on December 24 this year. It marks the reunion of Siddharth Anand and Deepika Padukone with the superstar after a long time.
The one particular thing that brought the film into the headlines was the involvement of Anirudh, who was supposed to compose the music. Notably, things are not going forward as planned, and fans who were expecting chartbuster music after Jawan might be left disappointed.
A new update has revealed that Anirudh has opted to leave the film. This is not because of some disagreement, but due to the music director’s multiple commitments in other South films.
An insider confirmed the news by saying that the entire team is working to bring King to the theatres on the promised date. However, Anirudh’s busy schedule has made it impossible for him to spend enough time working on the music, which needs some extra attention due to the scale of the film.
After Anirudh’s exit, Sachin-Jigar have now taken over the same duties. The good thing for now is that the theme track of the film is going to have Anirudh’s touch.
Fans appeared surprised as they reacted to the latest development on social media. A few have even expressed concern that King might suffer at the box office if the music is not up to the mark, and Anirudh could have helped in that situation. Still, a particular section is curious and excited to listen to the music of Sachin-Jigar, considering that they have worked in other popular films.
On the other hand, some others reacted by expressing happiness. They pointed out that Anirudh’s music is slowly turning out to be average without any memorable tracks. They even stated that his multiple commitments are the possible reason why he is failing to do that. Netizens wrote that King is now saved since people will get to hear something unique.
SRK will be celebrating his 61st birthday on November 2, 2026, and fans are expecting the makers to reveal something in the form of a teaser or trailer for King. With only one more month left, let’s wait and see if King’s new music by Sachin-Jigar will leave an impression on the audience.
