Shankar Had Offered Me 2.0 Before Rajini

It comes as a big surprise that Aamir Khan was first offered to play the role of Chitti in ‘2.0’ and Shankar had indeed approached him with the script. It was Rajnikanth who told Shankar to approach Aamir Khan as he had health issues to carry off the role. It was a candid revelation by Aamir in one of his recent interviews.

When Aamir Khan heard the script and tried to read the lines, he could imagine only Rajnikanth in the lead character and not himself. He tried hard but felt that it’s a Rajnikanth’s character and no one can replace the superstar in ‘2.0’. Aamir says that he watched the prequel ‘Robo’ and loved the movie.

Aamir also declared that the film has blockbuster written all over it and it is going to be a huge hit in all the languages, across the country. It wasn’t a tough decision for him not to take the offer as he felt he can’t he get into the shoes of the superstar. Well, only time will tell what is going to be the fate of the biggest movie ever made.
