Trailer Talk: Leaving Nothing To Imagination

The trailer of the last big movie of the year, Simmba starring Ranveer Singh and directed by one of the top commercial director’s in India Rohit Shetty is out. It is the official remake of Telugu movie Temper starring Jr NTR.

There are two ways to look at what we got. One is from the perspective of Telugu audience who has seen Temper. In this case, Simmba comes across as weak and leaving nothing to imagination kind of trailer. Almost the entire movie has been packed in the trailer itself with additional Singham connect. Not to mention, the intensity of Jr NTR is obviously lacking.

The other way is from a Bollywood audience perspective. In that case, the trailer is okay one where Rohit Shetty neatly reveals the essential content and topic of rape. The audience that usually comes to his films might be disturbed with those visuals if previously not aware. Also, the Singham connect is a nice touch giving scope for a future collaborative effort.
