Two Films Opening Day Figures: Decent & Worst

Ahead of the release of Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro and Akshay Kumar’s Rustom, there were a lot of speculations regarding the performance of two films. Now, the opening figures have come in and Akshay’s courtroom drama seems to be performing a lot better than Hrithik’s period romance.

If words of trade pundits are to go by, Rustom is gaining more traction in the public and is leading the race. It has been getting decent reviews from the audience and overall the public seems to like Rustom more. Meanwhile, Mohenjo Daro is not appealing to the audience. The opening day figures also reflect this trend with Rustom touching 12-13 crore mark while Mohenjodaro is staying at 7-8 crores only.

The trade pundits also say that since there is a holiday period coming up, the two films are likely to benefit from it with Rustom probably reaching the 40 crore mark and Mohenjo Daro at 20-25 crores by the opening weekend.
