The 1980s cartoon show, Masters Of The Universe is set to get a live action movie by Amazon MGM. The project is believed to be in the works for a very long time now and the studio has likely made a decision on who is going to direct this live action film. According to the sources, Travis Knight is in final stages of negotiation for being the director of Masters Of The Universe.
There already exists an initial script for the film which will be rewritten by Chris Buttler. Amazon MGM Studios is also negotiating with Mattel for the rights to seal the deal. Travis Knight is suggested to be the right choice as a director as he has experience in working in both live action and animation.
Knight got into limelight for his live action after his 2018 Transformers’ spinoff Bumblebee. There has already been one live action Masters Of The Universe film in 1987.
The film is based on the cartoon in which 9 year old Prince Adam crashes on earth in a spaceship. He somehow loses his magical sword which is the only link between him and his home in Eternia.
