If you’ve been waiting for the next installment of the Godzilla series then there’s some good news for you. Warner Bros has moved up their upcoming movie ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’. The fifth feature of the MonsterVerse will now be released in March instead of April.
This was made possible as the studio removed the movie lined up for release on that day. Bong Joon-Ho’s Mickey 17 was slated to be released that day but the movie is facing delay because of post-strike production shifts. Godzilla x Kong will be released on the same date which was picked for Mickey 17.
Godzilla x Kong is directed by Adam Wingard who has also directed Godzilla vs Kong. The story follows the event after the 2021 film and delves deeper into the mystery of the Hollow Earth. The movie was originally intended to be released on 12th of April.
While no new date has been set for the release of Mickey 17, Godzilla x Kong will be hitting the theaters on the 29th of March. The cast of the film include Millie Bobby Brown, Kaylee Hottle, Nicola Crisa etc.
