Wes Anderson’s Latest Debuts With A Perfect Score On Rotten Tomatoes

The Wonderful Story Of Henry Sugar premiered at the Venice Film Festival yesterday and the early reviews are out. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie got a perfect score of 100%.

This is Wes Anderson’s, the director, first perfect score on the review website. Before “The Wonderful Story Of Henry Sugar”, his highest rated movie was Moonrise Kingdom (2012) tied with Fantastic Mr Fox (2009) with a rating of 93% for each.

This is just an initial review to the movie with only 15 ratings and the overall score would change when more critics will add their reviews and audience scores come in.

The movie is based on a short story by Roald Dahl of the same name. When asked about whether Dahl’s offensive and sensitive works should be edited or not, Anderson replied by saying that he’s not in favor of editing. He went on to say that only the author should edit their works and that Dahl is dead.

The movie is set to release in select theaters on 20 September and on Netflix on 27 September.
