There’s no doubt that Godzilla is one of the most famous fictional characters created by the film industry. The grand success of the character goes back decades and it still manages to pull off super hits at the Hollywood box office. Godzilla Minus One, released last year became a big hit and was one of the most successful Japanese live action films of the year.
The director of the movie, Takashi Yamazaki has hinted that there might be some interest in developing a sequel to the superhit film. Although, he made it clear that there is no official news on any sequel of the film. However, the director has some vision for how it could be.
Takashi said that he’s “very curious” regarding the characters Shikishima and Noriko. According to him the calm in the ending could also be the one before a storm. The fans are speculating about his plans if there are any for the sequel.
Made at a budget of $10-15 million, the film amassed nearly ten times in the global market. It also became the top earning foreign film in the US after the pandemic. The stats are in support of a sequel if the makers are not concerned about other things.
