15 Cr For NTR: Easy, But Not Too Easy

Jr NTR is keenly awaiting the theatrical debut of Devara which is scheduled to hit the big screens on the 28th of this month. Ahead of the release, the pan-Indian box office aspects pertaining to the film are out, and here is a look into the same.

As per reports, the Hindi language rights of Devara are sold for Rs 15 crore which is an easily achievable tally.

While 15 crore might look like a small number in itself, the Hindi market can be largely unpredictable. So unpredictable that Akshay Kumar’s film are collecting Rs 2-3 crore nett on the opening day. Superstar Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha opened with Rs 10 crore as opposed to his earlier best of Rs 4050 crore.

At this time, NTR arriving with Devara in Hindi is going to be a challenge in itself.

The film does have the likes of Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan from Bollywood but they don’t bring too many Hindi prospects with them. NTR and his RRR fame will continue to be the mainstay of the film’s Hindi run.

If Koratala comes with winning stuff, then Devara could be going well at the Hindi box office which would do a world of good for NTR. Else, the embarrassment will also be big as other fandoms are holding everything against Tarak.
