On the same date two years ago, September 8, Mega fans were on cloud nine when Ram Charan’s film with Shankar was formally launched with aplomb. Doing a film with Shankar was an honor for any actor, as he is considered the next best after SS Rajamouli. Fans were super happy that Game Changer would be a perfect follow-up to RRR and would take Ram Charan’s stardom to the next level.
But today, the same fans are sad, disappointed, and frustrated that Ram Charan fell for this trap of doing a film with Shankar. It’s been two years, and the film is nowhere near completion. Ram Charan’s precious peak time got wasted, which could have been used for some other promising projects.
The primary reason for this delay has to be director Shankar’s dilemma between prioritizing the release of Game Changer or Indian 2. Initially, Indian 2 was slated for release first, further complicating the production schedule of Game Changer. Recent reports suggest that Shankar is inclined to release Indian 2 on Independence Day 2024 due to its theme’s relevance.
However, this hinges on the timely completion of both projects.
At present, “Game Changer” remains far from completion, with an uncertain timeline for its release. The film isn’t even 50% complete, and it might take one more year to release in theaters. Mega fans want to get over this ‘Game Changer’ torture as soon as possible.
