It’s a wrap for 2024, and we are recapping directors, films, and elements that worked or failed this year. One major missed opportunity came from an upcoming director Sailesh Kolanu.
Sailesh Kolanu, known for the HIT movie franchise, gained recognition in the thriller genre with Hit: The First Case and Hit: The Second Case. He was given a big opportunity to work with senior star Victory Venkatesh for Saindhav. Unfortunately, Sailesh delivered an outright disaster.

The film bombed and invited heavy criticism for its execution. Working with a star like Venkatesh after two thrillers was a great opportunity, but Sailesh failed to make use of it. A half-hearted attempt like Saindhav didn’t even earn him any goodwill, and the disastrous outcome left no room for that.
The audience showed no soft corner for the director, and the failure of Saindhav made 2024 a massively disappointing year for Sailesh. After this setback, Sailesh had no choice but to return to his Hit franchise and work on Hit: The Third Case with hero Nani.
