400 Years Telangana history in a mobile APP!

Telangana State Department of Archaeology and Museums (TSDAM) is in the process of developing a mobile App which will make Telangana history and culture relevant to the coming generations. The yet to be named app was already developed for Android OS.

The department had partnered with e-learning tech firm Future e-Learning Resource for development of the app. They claim the app is one of its kind to be launched by any Archaeological Department in the country which would allow a user to take virtual 360 degree tour of museums and monuments, audio tours, watch educational and promotional videos etc.

The app also have scanning QR code facility which will help a user to just scan any artifact in any of the 13 museums across the State and then all the available information regarding the artifact will be given instantly. The department claims the collection, classification of data and developing the app took eight months.
