A Powerhouse To Clash With Balakrishna

Nandamuri Balakrishna is close to wrapping up Akhanda shoot. Once he is done with Boyapati Sreenu directorial, the Nandamuri hero will join hands with Gopichand Malineni for a full-on mass entertainer.

If reports are to be believed, the makers of Balakrishna’s as-yet untitled actioner under Gopichand Malineni’s direction have roped in versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi for the antagonist role in the film.

Needless to say, Vijay Sethupathi is one of the finest actors in South Indian cinema. Moreover, he has the right demeanor to make for a menacing looking antagonist. If Gopichand can come up with a winning storyline that can tap into the mass appeal of both Balakrishna and Vijay Sethupathi, the film can pull the masses to the theaters in big numbers.

Gopichand showed his prowess with Ravi Teja’s Krack. The hero-villain confrontational scenes in the film struck a chord with the masses and played an instrumental role in the film’s success at the box office. If he can emulate a similar feat with the Balakrishna and Vijay Sethupathi starrer, sky is the limit.

With two powerhouses – Balakrishna and Vijay Sethupathi at his disposal, Gopichand is presented with a golden opportunity to roll out a winning mass celluloid. Can he do so? Only time will tell.
