Aashiqui-2 Telugu remake has a Sanjay Dutt connection

Aashiqui 2 which proved to be one of the biggest sleeper hits in the recent years in Hindi cinema is going to be remade in Telugu. We already heard about this and also know that Sachin Joshi of Mounamelanoyi and Orey Pandu fame will be acting as hero in the film. So where does the Sanjay Dutt connection, arises in the film?

It’s related to the heroine that the connection comes about. Nazia Hussain who is the niece of Sanjay Dutt has been roped in as heroine for the film. Earlier the unit had selected a former Miss India but after screen testing Nazia they felt that she suited the role more than her and therefore replaced her. Jaya Ravindra directs the remake in Telugu which is yet to get a name. Other cast and crew details of the film are likely to be known in the next few days since the film is expected to hit the sets soon.
