Weekend BO: No Rush From Telugu Film Goers!

Last weekend was a rather busy one at the box office as we had a couple of notable films, namely Adarsha Kutumbam and Cult arriving at the ticket counters.

But the point of difference is that the Telugu audience did not rush up in big numbers to watch either of these films in the theatres.

The booking trend on BookMyShow was rather stagnated for both films. The more important thing is that AK-47, which marks the collaboration of Trivikram and Venkatesh, which is a perfect recipe for the family audience could not work the magic over the weekend.

The makers had released a new poster today, saying that the film had collected ₹75 crore gross in the opening weekend. There are multiple comments on this post with many people saying it is a fabricated number.

Then we have the case of Cult, which happens to be Vishwak Sen’s latest attempt at impressing the audience. But it turned out to be that the youngster has again failed to impress the audience as this film went to nowhere at the ticket counters.

It is desperately high time for Vishwak to make sure that his film making choices are redeemed at the earliest as consecutive failures have completely dissipated his market. This latest film did not post even mention worthy numbers.
