Deepika Padukone recently created headlines after the claims of her being a part of a Telugu film went viral on different platforms. One of them was reported to be Srikanth Odela’s next with Chiranjeevi playing the lead.
However, the news has been denied by a source close to Odela’s film, adding that Deepika is not being considered for any role in the upcoming project.

Apart from this, there were reports of Deepika joining Spirit, which features Prabhas in the lead and is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. A source claimed that the actress would portray an important role, and the film is supposed to be a cop drama.
Deepika has already made her Telugu debut last year with Kalki 2898 AD, and she is supposed to be a part of the sequel. The science fiction film also featured Prabhas, making Spirit Deepika’s second film with the Rebel Star.

It seems like the success of Kalki has emerged as the only reason for the makers to cast Deepika in their films. The actress is a popular face in the North Indian belts, which can prove to be beneficial for the Hindi-dubbed version of any Telugu film.
Although Srikanth Odela has hardly shared any details about his film until now, the reports of Deepika’s casting have seemingly proved that the makers are possibly working to finalize a female lead for the film.
