Akhanda Springs A Big Surprise In U.S.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is usually weak Overseas. It is also the case with Director Boyapati Srinu. Their previous combination films – Simha and Legend were blockbusters but still did not make a big impact in the US markets. But then, the third film in their combination – Akhanda seems to be different.

The movie is inching towards the 100K Dollars mark in the Pre-sales. The movie is all set to cross Legend premiere collections with just pre-sales 5 days in advance of release. The movie can become the highest Pre-sales this year if it can get to $160K and that looks like gettable.

The movie has to collect $600K to break even. It should not be difficult if the talk is decent. In such a case, it will be the only second profitable venture this year for Tollywood after Love Story. Akhanda has the advantage of being the first biggie after a long time. Also, the combination craze is working big time for the film.

If this is the case with the U.S. markets, we can imagine the rampage in the mass centers of AP and Telangana.
