Akhil’s Lenin: Peddi Clash Issue or Bigger Problem Inside?

Akhil’s Lenin release plans have once again slipped into uncertainty, leaving both fans and trade circles confused. The film was initially slated for May 1, and the production house even stated that they gave up that date to avoid a clash with Peddi. That explanation did not sit well with Akhil Akkineni fans, who questioned why a film claimed to be ready was being postponed by nearly two months.

The situation has only become more complicated since then.

Peddi, starring Ram Charan, which was earlier expected to release on April 30, has now moved to June, with strong buzz pointing to June 25. This directly puts pressure on Lenin, which is currently eyeing June 26. Naturally, the question is back on the table. Will Lenin step aside once again to avoid a clash?

But the bigger issue may lie elsewhere.

Shocking inside reports suggest that the delay has little to do with Peddi or release strategy. The real concern is that the film is still not ready. There are claims that Nagarjuna Akkineni watched a few rushes of the film and recommended reshoots. There are also rumors that Akhil himself is not very happy with the title Lenin, which has failed to connect with the audience and generate any real buzz on the ground. A title change might also be under consideration. However, these are mere speculations in industry circles.

None of this is officially confirmed, but the speculation alone has created uncertainty around the project. And that is a problem, because this film is extremely critical for Akhil.

Backed by Naga Vamsi along with Annapurna Studios and Sithara Entertainments, Lenin is being treated as a prestigious venture. Director Murali Kishore Abburu may not have handled a film of this scale before, but the team placed strong faith in his story. More importantly, this project comes at a crucial point in Akhil’s career, where he is still searching for some kind of success.

Unless the makers come out with a clear update and firm plan, the confusion around Lenin will only grow, and for a film that is so important to Akhil’s career, that is not a good place to be.
