There’s a lot of buzz about Allu Arjun teaming up with director Atlee for a pan-India action film. After the massive success of Pushpa 2, which reportedly collected around 1800 crores, Bunny is planning his next big career move.
Initially, he was supposed to work with Trivikram, but that project has been delayed, and he has now given the green light to Atlee’s film.
Reports suggest that this script was originally written for Salman Khan, but due to budget constraints and Salman not viable commercially anymore, the project didn’t move forward.
Now, Allu Arjun has taken it up, and it is said to be a period action drama. The film will also have another important role, and the makers are in talks with a big Tamil star to join the cast.
Recently, rumors are strong that Sivakarthikeyan might be playing a key role in this film. He is currently busy with his movie Parashakti, and sources say he has been asked to finish his portions by May.
This has fueled speculation that he will be sharing screen space with Bunny. If true, the combination of Allu Arjun’s mass appeal and Sivakarthikeyan’s comic timing could create a huge sensation in both Telugu and Tamil markets.
However, reports indicate that the film needs a senior star to play Allu Arjun’s father, not a young hero. With Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan already saying no, the realistic choices are Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Mohanlal, or Mammootty, all of whom have a 80-100 crores market.
While Chiranjeevi would be a great choice for an Allu Arjun film directed by Atlee, his packed schedule might make it difficult.
It is said that Allu Arjun is undergoing special training abroad as per Atlee’s suggestion. Interestingly, Bunny has reportedly given Atlee a condition to complete the film within a year to avoid delays.
If everything goes as planned, the Atlee film will wrap up by March 2025 and release in 2026, after which Bunny will start Trivikram’s project.
