Allu Arjun has been on a fast rise as far as stardom is concerned. It’s not that the actor hasn’t had stardom before, he has been a star from the day Arya released, but now he has pushed right buttons, made certain choices that has helped him take his stardom and image a level up. It is with respect to the choices that we see some similarities with Mahesh Babu which we are taking a close look at.
Both Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu have been fast to recognize talents. And when they see a talent, they do all they can to work with them as soon as possible. Remember Yuvaraju, Nani, Nijam, Athadu and Dookudu to name a few, which were done with directors on the rise or who had high reputation in the industry. In the similar vein Allu Arjun had Bunny, Desamuduru and Parugu etc. Also it’s not just successful directors they did films with Mahesh Babu did Murari, Okkadu, Pokiri, Businessman etc when the directors were reeling with disasters. Similarly Allu Arjun did Happy, Aarya 2, Varudu, Julayi and Race Gurram with directors who have been down and out with duds.
Another interesting bit of trivia is that both the actors made their debut under the direction of K Raghvendra Rao. This however isn’t a coincident but rather they chose to work with the director considering it as a positive sentiment completely ignoring the then box office standing of the veteran director. With so much similarity it wasn’t a big surprise that Allu Arjun had now okayed to do a film with Sukumar right after his disastrous 1 Nenokkadine.
