RJ Balaji, known for his work in the film “Mookuthi Amman” alongside Nayanthara, is currently working on his upcoming movie, “Singapore Salon.” In a recent promotional interview, he openly discussed and criticized Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film, ‘Animal.’
Expressing his perspective, Balaji stated, “I haven’t watched ‘Animal,’ and I have no intention to do so. I cannot bear to witness a crowded theater applauding scenes depicting the abuse and harassment of women. The idea of people cheering for such content, including instances where a woman is asked to lick her lover’s shoe, makes me apprehensive about unintentionally incorporating similar scenes in my own film.”

Taapsee Pannu also shared her views on the film, remarking, “Animal should not be compared to Hollywood films like ‘Gone Girl.’ Our audience is different. In Hollywood, people don’t imitate hairstyles or lines from movies, and they certainly don’t start stalking women based on film portrayals. This is our reality in India.”
Such comments from celebrities are generating more attention and giving free publicity for the OTT debut of ‘Animal,’ on January 26. The OTT release will include an extended version, adding an extra 8 minutes to the original 3 hours and 21 minutes runtime. Notably, the news emphasizes a new scene featuring the lead actress, Rashmika Mandanna, heightening the anticipation for the film.
