The much-anticipated first song from Devara titled “Fear Song” is set to release on May 19th, coinciding with NTR’s birthday. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song is expected to serve as an introduction to his character in the film, directed by Koratala Siva.
The early reviews from celebrities like Naga Vamsi are giving it a lot of hype. He wrote on his X/Twitter, “This song will make you forget Hukum song from Jailer. Anirudh’s next-level mass.”
If the song is truly such a banger like Hukum then comparison with the Pushpa Pushpa song will be inevitable. Though the movies are not clashing, the songs are getting released at the same time.
Devi Sri Prasad delivered a decent song with the title song of Pushpa 2 but it didn’t break out and became a true blue chartbuster. The song got more elevated because of Allu Arjun’s charisma and steps and not because the song was great.
So if Anirudh delivers a true chartbuster with Devara’s title song then it will definitely be a setback for DSP. People are already finding Anirudh’s work in films like Jailer and Leo superior to Devi Sri Prasad.
So if the Devara song gets a better response than Pushpa, it will definitely put DSP on the backfoot.
