AR Rahman is returning to Telugu cinema after a long gap. He is composing music for Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi. This has triggered strong discussion on social media.
Peddi needs to perform strongly in the Hindi market to generate massive global revenues. A solid run in North India is crucial if Charan wants to move past the setbacks of Acharya and Game Changer.
For that to happen, the film requires a powerful audio album. In the past, Pushpa showed how songs alone can build momentum in the Hindi belt.
Now, a similar strategy may be needed for Peddi. Charan will be hoping Rahman delivers a chartbuster album that connects with audiences across regions.
The Chikiri song has already drawn decent viewership online. However, the upcoming tracks must penetrate deeper into the Hindi market to create stronger recall.
Content quality will ultimately decide the film’s fate. Still, music can create early buzz and widen reach before release.
The presence of Janhvi Kapoor could also add visibility in the Hindi belt. Yet, much depends on whether Rahman can craft an album that resonates nationally.
