Atlee-ShankarShah Rukh Khan’s Jawan prevue released yesterday, created a storm among the audience and film circles. The trailer successfully met the expectations people had from the Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan combo.

The rare thing about the film is that it is successful in making even the Tamil audience excited to watch it, which many pan-India films failed to do. Except for Baahubali and, to some extent, RRR, the Tamil audience gives the cold shoulder to even the most successful pan-India films, like Pushpa.

The fact that Jawan stars a plethora of Tamil actors like Nayanthara, Yogi Babu, Priyamani, and others in key roles, the music is given by Anirudh, and it is directed by Atlee, who has given memorable blockbusters to Thalapathy Vijay, has worked in the film’s favor in Tamil. SRK’s goodwill is also one of the reasons, though.

Shankar, who is the most celebrated director among Tamilians, missed this chance to get the Tamil audience excited for his upcoming film Game Changer with Ram Charan. When the first look of the film with the title Game Changer was revealed, there was zero hype among the Tamil people regarding the film. They are assuming it is just another Telugu film going to be dubbed in Tamil. They aren’t owning Game Changer like they are owning Jawan as their own film.

The makers of Game Changer are keenly awaiting the response of Tamilians to Jawan. They are still hopeful that if Jawan gets a rousing reception in Tamil territories, then Game Changer also has a chance.
