Average Talk for Mallu Girl’s Direct OTT Netflix Release

Dulquer Salman’s production, ‘Maniyarayile Ashokan’ happens to be the first direct Netflix release for the Malayalam movies and it came to the digital platform just a day before the Malayalis’ grand festival Onam.

Mallu girl, our Telugu actress, Anupama Parameshwaran made an extended special appearance in the movie of which she also was one of the assistant directors. The beautiful visuals throughout the film have been receiving praises.

But, the movie’s simple theme and story appeal to only a section of the audiences who could wait for the movie to grow on them. However, the universal charm is missing that has been the essence of Malayalam hit cinema.

Though Anupama wasn’t given a meaty role in the movie, her charm subdues everything else whenever she is present on the screen. A perfect Onam treat for the traditional Mallu girl who is with family celebrating Onam.

If there would have been a universal appeal to the story, it would have been great for her.
