Those who had watched ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’, they had to agree to one thing. There is no intriguing story in the film. It has all been about the various conquests of the warrior king Satakarni. It’s because very little is written about him in the historical documents.

What has Balayya got to say about this? Balayya honestly agreed that GPS had no story but the curiosity to discover something more about this Telugu king made the audiences feel that the film is interesting. His honest admission about the story comes as no surprise as Balayya is known to speak his mind.

This is obviously both his strength and weakness even. With the kind of visual treat, director Krish’s visualization, and the kind of cast the director had got at his disposal; a proper story would have done wonders to the film and would have become a memorable film in the true sense.
