Beep Controversy pushed away top MD away from big project

The collaboration of Tamil hero Dhanush with music director Anirudh was a long one and the music director had been the actor’s first choice for the films he produced. However things have changed because of beep song controversy and a couple of other reasons. Dhanush chose Santosh Narayanan to compose music for his next, a political thriller ‘Kodi’.

The reasons are evident. Presently Anirudh is out of station and his return date to India isn’t confirmed yet. ‘Kodi’ was already late by two weeks and Dhanush couldn’t wait any longer because he had to start shooting for this film and later move on to the other commitments he made. He can’t wait for Anirudh’s return.

Both director Senthil Kumar and Dhanush had teamed up with Anirudh for their earlier movies and for Dhanush, the music director turned a hit combination. They are more like friends. But, left with no choice, Dhanush had to go for another music director.
