Bhagyashri Borse is likely to join Sivakarthikeyan’s Seyon as the female lead. The film is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan and produced by Kamal Haasan’s RKFI. An official confirmation is expected soon.
Sivakarthikeyan is coming off back to back failures with Madharaasi and Parasakthi. Seyon has become a crucial project for him. The film is expected to help him regain his market strength.
The shooting of Seyon is progressing at a brisk pace. The team is planning a Pooja release in October. Makers are aiming to capitalise on the festive season.
Bhagyashri Borse made her Kollywood debut with Kaantha. Her performance received appreciation, but the film did not perform well at the box office. Despite that, she gained some attention.
Industry trackers feel this could be a strong opportunity for her. A Sivakarthikeyan film usually opens big. If she delivers a good performance, it may help her secure better roles in Kollywood.
At the same time, a section believes she may not suit the film. They feel her stylish and glamorous image may not match a rooted Madurai-based story. This has led to mixed reactions.
There is no official announcement yet from the makers. It remains to be seen if Bhagyashri Borse joins Seyon. Her inclusion could influence the film’s overall appeal.
