Bheems Fails Big: Hopes Now on Ravipudi

Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara is out and the film has turned out to be another washout. While both leads, Ravi Teja and Sreeleela faced criticism, there is another person who drew extreme negativity right from the paid premieres in the Telugu states: music director Bheems Ceciroleo.

Bheems, who has been growing in popularity after projects like Tillu Square, Mad Square and Anil Ravipudi’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam, surprisingly failed to create any pre-release buzz for Mass Jathara through his songs. Once the film hit theaters, his background score received heavy criticism. Many on social media noted that in attempting to mimic Thaman’s loud style, Bheems’ score actually harmed the film.

Does this mark a major setback for him? Certainly. However, he is also fortunate to have an immediate high-profile project lined up: Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankar Varaprasad Garu directed by Anil Ravipudi. The first song from the film ‘Meesaala Pilla’ is already a hit. This may shield Bheems from lasting damage, but doubts will inevitably linger about his background scoring, especially after the flop of Mass Jathara.

Even Anil Ravipudi will need to work carefully with Bheems to ensure the background score aligns perfectly with the film and avoids repeating Mass Jathara mistakes.
