Bifurcation blues: TS targets police dept. institutions!

According to AP Reorganisation Act, institutions mentioned under schedule 9 are apportioned based on a procedure formulated by a committee. The institutions mentioned under schedule 10 have a different criteria. Here section 75 comes into play. If an institution is located in TS, it has to provide its service to AP and vice versa.

Of late Telangana government has rechristened the police department institutions which come under schedule 10. Now this has become a cause of concern for the AP in the scenario of cash for vote scam. While police institutions like AP State Forensic Science Laboratory and others got AP removed and substituted by TS, it’s against the Reorganisation Act say the officials of AP.

Here police department institutions like the above said Forensic Laboratory, State level police recruitment board, State Institute of Correctional Administration and others got Telangana tag and hence there is every chance that AP would be denied the rights as they now officially belong to Telangana.
