Here is the biggest news of the day! The Baahubali universe is getting expanded, and this time it will be via an original web series. Yes, the makers are getting into the online world territory, and they have got none other than Netflix backing them.

Arka Media Works has announced that it is joining hands with Netflix for a nine-episode series extending the Baahubali universe. It will be a prequel to the movie based on the novel Rise Of Sivagami. The story will focus on how the city of Mashismati grew into a kingdom, simultaneously focusing on the journey of Shivagami from a rebel to Queen.

What piques the interest of the fans further is the association of directors Praveen Sattaru and Deva Katta to the project. They will be directing the nine-part series. Netflix is a global giant in online entertainment, and they are slowly trying to make inroads into the Indian market.
