Will This Underdog Film Surprise At The BO?

Nandamuri Kalyanram’s Bimbisara is releasing on August 5th, and the film has some decent expectations attached to it. The trailer of the film received a favorable response from the audience. People who watched the trailer are saying that within its limited budget, the production values are good.

Bimbisara is Kalyanram’s ambitious venture, and he claims to have put a lot of effort and soul into the movie. People these days are venturing out into a cinema only if the film is something out-of-the-ordinary. The trade experts say that Bimbisara has some of those novel elements that can pull the audience inside the theaters if it gets a positive response on its first day.

But the flip side is the film is being handled by a new director, Vassishta, and such historical films require the touch of an experienced director. And Kalyanram’s current pull at the box office is also questionable. There are reports that Nikhil’s Karthikeya 2 is also hitting the theaters around the same time, so that might prove to be a deterrent for Bimbisara.
