Blackout in store for popular Sun Network

Sun Network is without any doubt one of the most popular media houses in the Southern belt of the India. Channels like Gemini and its subsidies come under this group and one need not ascertain how popular they are among the Telugu people.

However the media house is under immense pressure now for survival as it has failed to get the clearance required for his its renewal from the government. Currently huge brainstorming is going on among the head honchos of the network to somehow work things out.

The network is facing hostility from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in getting the clearance despite the Ministry of Information and Broadcast (MIB) being helpful. The latter has to get approval from the former board in order to renew the license of broadcasting. Sun Network has moved to Supreme Court for an interim stay but this is whole process is causing them huge losses through the stocks.
