Bollywood babe wants Mani Ratnam

On many occasions, Deepika Padukone expressed her desire to work in southern films and at the same time she complains that she never got promising offers from the makers here. However, the actress is excited to work with Mani Ratnam in a film.

While interacting with the media, Deepika stated that she is open to work in any language provided she gets an exciting script. Nevertheless, Deepika is very choosy when it comes to working with the film-makers and Mani Ratnam is someone with whom she is eager to team up with for a project.

The dusky siren also says that she received an offer from Mani in the past, but couldn’t work with him due to unavailability of her call sheets. “Language is not a barrier for me and I have no qualms working in any industry. Emotion and acting are the same anywhere. If I were to work in a southern film, I would love to work with Mani sir. I regret that I couldn’t work with him in the past because of my other commitments but this time if I get any chance I’m sure I will grab that opportunity,” reveals Deepika. It remains to be seen whether Mani acknowledges her wish this time or not.
