BMS Trends: How Are New Films Doing?

This weekend turned out to be a busy one at the domestic box office as multiple films arrived at the Telugu ticket counters today. For now, let us have a look at the BookMyShow bookings trends of these films.

Jetlee is a comedy caper with comedy actor Sathya in the lead role and it happened to release today. There wasn’t much momentum leading into the release and had to do all the heavylift with the Content.

The film has not just entered the hourly booking trends but the sales for last 24 hours is around 12K tickets. It needs to pick up the momentum from here.

Then we have Gayapadda Simham, which is doing around 6k tickets in the last 24 hours. This Tarun Bhascker film also needs to pick up the momentum very badly.

Tamil actor Dhanush has arrived at the box office with Kara. This film is primarily fuelled by the bookings from the Tamil belt, which have contributed around 8000 per hour as of the moment we are typing this.

The biggest winner of the lot is Raja Shivaji featuring Riteish Deshmukh in the lead role. This film is selling around 14,000 tickets per hour, and this is expectedly mainly from the Marathi and Hindi belt. It is turning out to be a sleeper hit.

We have to see which of these films will generate more momentum over the weekend and put up as much revenues as possible for the next couple of days.
