The film was largely benefited by the mega start in the USA. It reportedly grossed over $3.8M in North America from the premieres.
Kalki got off to a pretty good start in the Hindi belt as well by grossing in the vicinity of Rs 21+ crore. The film is trending well in the North belt and impressive word of mouth is coming to the rescue.
The openings in the Nizam belt are also said to be very good. The numbers in the mass belt of ceded are said to be ordinary, which is expected considering the futuristic genre of the film.
The challenge for Kalki is to hold well over the weekend and brace up for the challenge of Saturday with the T20 final between India and England scheduled to be played on 29 June. This Sunday is going to be huge for the film.
