Hrithik Roshan’s film, “Fighter,” drops big on Saturday. The film experienced a notable jump on its second day, coinciding with the Republic Day holiday. While it started with a collection of 23 crores on the first day, it surged to an impressive 40 crores on the second day, resulting in a two-day total of approximately 63 crores net in India.

On the third day, a drop of around 20% from the second day was anticipated. However, the drop exceeded 30%, and the third-day collection is estimated to be around 27 crores. Despite this, the collections remain decent and even surpass the first-day figures. The positive word of mouth suggested a potential minimum of 100 crores net in three days, which would have been satisfactory for such a high-budget film. But it’s going to hit 100 crores on its fourth day.

The film is expected to witness an upswing in collections on Sunday, aiming to touch the Republic Day figures of 40 crores. However, achieving this seems tough based on current advance bookings.

Internationally, “Fighter” is performing well, especially in the US, Australia, and New Zealand. The film exhibited a remarkable jump in the US on the second day, nearly reaching the $1 million mark, a substantial increase from the first day’s $560,000 gross. Fighter crossed one million at 4 PM EST on Saturday, making today the biggest day (Day 3) since its release.

The Saturday collections looking excellent, and it is anticipated to cross the $1.3 million mark, resulting in a four-day weekend collection of around $4 million in the US. The worldwide gross of “Fighter” stands at approximately 145 crores in three days.

Considering its high budget, sustaining this momentum in the coming weeks is crucial for “Fighter” to be deemed a success. If Monday sees a drop of less than 30% from the first-day numbers and maintains collections around the 15 crore net in India, there’s a chance for “Fighter” to be labeled a HIT.
