Nani actively promoted his latest outing, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram as he asserted confidence in his director Vivek Athreya who earlier made Ante Sundaraniki with him. Going by the box office reports, Saripodhaa has started on a decent note at the box office.
While the film couldn’t break the tally of Dasara, it could comfortably breeze past Nani’s previous film Hi Nanna.
Saripodhaa has reportedly opened in the range of Rs 20 crore worldwide which is about decent. A little more might have been expected considering the fact that Nani pushed it as a mass film, but this number in itself, in the current theatrical market is pretty decent.
Also, this happens to be Nani’s second biggest opening ever after Dasara so he should be a happy man. The film has grossed over $850K at the USA box office which is usually a strong zone for Nani.
The real deal is going to be holding the box office trends over the weekend considering the middling reviews. But the lack of competition must help the Nani starrer. Can it enter the safe zone by having a good opening weekend? We shall see.
