FB Post forced him to pay alimony!

A family court issued a jolt to a builder in alimony case based on his Facebook post. An Ahmedabad based builder named Shaikh’s wife living separately from him for last seven years along with girl child.

She moved to family court seeking alimony about Rs.27,000 per month. But the husband refused to pay citing the reason that he is earning a meagre amount of Rs.4500 by working as a supervisor in a construction company. But a Facebook post uploaded himself on his wall sporting a luxury wrist watch, jewellery and even riding a sports bike. She showed this picture to the court and proved that he is not working as supervisor he himself owned a construction company.

He even moved to High Court but the court redirected the case to family court to fresh adjudication. The court orders him to pay first Rs.2 lakhs and reiterates that to pay Rs. 27,000 per month.
