Kannada Classical Hit Sapta Sagaradaache Ello starring Rakshith Shetty is releasing in Telugu as Sapta Saagaralu Daati on September 22nd. M9 News Journalist Nishant sat with Rakshith Shetty to discuss the film, his work, and the renaissance of Kannada Cinema.

When asked about why the film will connect to Telugu audience, Rakshith said, “I know these films will have limited audience. But I am not looking at a big release. I am not expecting it to be liked by all audience. Our Targeted marketing will bring the target audience to theaters initially. The Positive WOM will set the right expectations for the audience to come in the second or third week. It will grow organically”.

He also analyzed what went right for Kantara and what did not work with Boys Hostel in Telugu even though both the films were big hits in Kannada.

Rakshith Shetty also spoke at length about dubbing quality of the film, idea behind naming the film Side A, his relationship with Rishabh Shetty and Raaj Shetty, etc.

We also spoke about why he is lagging in the Number Game despite being a brand, his explanation about boycott calls from a section of Kannada audience when big Telugu films release, etc.

He ended the conversation by asking him about the most popular Telugu Star in Karnataka. He started it saying that Rajamouli is above everyone and even stars. When it comes to the stars, he said Allu Arjun, Junior NTR, and Mahesh Babu are very popular.
