
The first look of Aamir Khan from Coolie was officially unveiled today, creating quite a debate online. Interestingly, his poster was the last among the ensemble cast to be released — a strategic move that signals the weight of his character.
Though Aamir reportedly appears on screen for just 8 to 10 minutes during the film’s climax, inside sources say his role is intense and emotionally impactful.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who previously stunned audiences with Suriya’s Rolex cameo in Vikram, seems to be aiming for something similar here. But Coolie comes with a bigger challenge.
Unlike Vikram, which had one dominant superstar, Coolie features a massive multi-starrer lineup including Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, and Upendra. Balancing such star power while making Aamir’s cameo stand out will be no easy task.

Industry insiders suggest that while Aamir’s role may not reach the same shock level as Rolex, it will carry a strong punch. Rolex came as a shock as no one knew it before the release but here Aamir’s cameo has been well publicized. His entry reportedly comes after major twists involving Nagarjuna and Upendra’s characters.
Meanwhile, Coolie is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on August 14. Despite clashing with War 2 at the box office, the film is already generating massive hype — especially in the Telugu states, where theatrical rights were reportedly sold for over 50 crores.

With Asian Cinemas backing the project, trade experts say it has the potential to gross 100 crore or more.
Promotions are set to begin in the third week of July. A pre-release event is being planned in Hyderabad, followed by a mega audio launch at Nehru Stadium in Chennai, with the entire cast and crew expected to attend.
