Can PS-1 Beat The Collections of Tollywood Disaster?

Mani Ratnam‘s Ponniyin Selvan – Part 1 has turned out to be a huge hit in Tamil Nadu. After a phenomenal weekend, the film impressed the trade by maintaining the tempo even on weekdays. The festive season has also worked in its favor. Its Hindi version is also collecting decently in the North after a below-par opening.

PS-1 has minted around 10 crores till now and will hit the 12 crore mark by the end of its first week in the Hindi version. If the film maintains the same momentum, then it can touch the 20-crore mark which would be a fair result for the film.

It would be interesting to see if PS-1 can cross Liger which collected around 21 crore net in its Hindi version. Liger which was a disaster in Telugu turned out to be an above-average fair in Hindi with minor losses. It would be a great result for PS-1 if it can cross Liger and then aim for Rocketry and Karthikeya 2.
