Chiranjeevi Fan To Telangana’s COVID Leader!

Dr. Srinivasa Rao, Director of Public Health, Telangana has led the state’s COVID-19 fight in both the first and second waves. As the state prepares for the third wave, Srinivasa Rao reveals his personal side in an interview. Hailing from Khammam, he claims to be very interested in public issues and even wants to be a Naxalite at one point in time.

His father thrashed him for celebrating Naxal victory in a Panchayat election and that has changed his mind. Srinivasa Rao claims to be a big fan of Megastar Chiranjeevi and was also part of a Chiranjeevi Fans Association. He even worked as the Technical Advisor of Chiranjeevi’s Blood Bank.

He was also interested to join politics when Chiranjeevi floated the Praja Rajyam Party, but Allu Aravind dissuaded him saying that if Praja Rajyam Party formed the government, being in government, his services would be useful more from an administrative or bureaucratic angle.

Despite being the COVID leader of Telangana, Srinivasa Rao regrets not saving his father who succumbed to post-COVID complications despite the utmost care.
