After a gap of 6 years, Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna will fight it out at the box office this Sankranthi. The last time they clashed was in 2017 when Khaidi No. 150 and Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni were released. Though both films turned out to be successful, KN 150 collected more.
Now Megastar’s Waltair Veerayyya and Balayya Veera Simha Reddy are going to clash and it would be interesting to see which film will come out trumps.

If we take a look at the directors of these films then they both had their share of successes and failures.
Waltair Veerayya’s director Bobby had a chance to direct big stars in films like Sardar Gabbar Singh and Jai Lava Kusa but the results were mixed. Sardar Gabbar Singh was a disaster whereas Jai Lava Kusa turned out to be an average fair at best. His last film Venky Mama also performed ordinarily. His only hit film is Power with Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja.

On the other hand, Gopichand Malineni who is directing a big star like Balakrishna for the first time in Veera Simha Reddy has had a somewhat better career graph but most of his hit films starred Ravi Teja, who can be termed as a mid-range hero.
After Akhanda’s mindblowing success, Balakrishna’s career is on a high and there are good expectations from Veera Simha Reddy. Whereas Megastar is reeling under continuous flops and he needs a blockbuster hit to redeem his career. He is coming up in a mass-oriented role in Waltair Veeerayya after a long time which has given this film better hype than his last few films.

While on-screen it would be a clash between Megastar and Balayya, it would be exciting to see which director creates more impact off-screen with his directorial stamina.
