Clarification from Trisha’s legal counsel!

There had been rumours floating around the film town that an arrest warrant had been issued against actress Trisha and her mother. However, her legal counsel has clarified the matter and has stated that the warrant issued is against Trisha’s mother, Uma Krishnan, and not the actress herself. The legal counsel explained that Uma was the complainant in the case and therefore the warrant has been issued against her and they will be taking the necessary legal steps.

It is important here to note that the warrant that has been issued by a Chennai court is in connection with a defamation case that was filed by Uma Krishnan against a magazine in regards to the publication of some inappropriate pictures of the actress back in 2005. Uma had alleged that the pictures were not original and had been morphed but when the case came up for hearing, Uma failed to appear and thus a warrant has been issued.
